We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We know that the adjustment has been great, and we wanted to give an update on how we are continuing to provide dance education during this time.
Currently, we have made the decision to close the studio through Saturday, April 4. However, we have made strides in offering online classes and videos to continue to support classes. At this time, here is what is happening:
The majority of the recital videos are up in the Google Drive that we use for recital music. You can access this drive by visiting the Recital Page on the website. Folders are arranged by class day, and then time, genre and teacher.
Recital videos are also up on our YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/c/sharondance). There is a playlist titled "Recital Dance Videos 2020" if you'd rather access the videos this way.
Starting on Monday, March 30, we will be offering almost all of our regularly scheduled classes via Zoom. A full schedule will be sent home at the end of this week, along with instructions. Students are not only welcomed, but encouraged, to take as many classes per week as they'd like in addition to their normal classes.
Make up lessons can still be utilized for in person classes once we reopen. We are extending our make up policy through the summer. You can find a schedule for the remainder of the year and for summer via the "Dance" tab on the website.
We realize there have been a number of emails regarding billing. We still plan to bill on April 1, due to a number of factors:
Our billing cycle is based on ten monthly installments. Our April 1 billing actually covers March classes prior to the closure. In addition, we are continuing to provide our weekly classes in an online format. We understand that it is not the same, but we know the value is still there. We are considering our first week of closure our "spring break," meaning that was already built into the payment plan.
We are still full steam ahead with our recital. We have every plan in place to continue to do our year-end show, even if that means pushing out the date.
Picture week has been currently rescheduled to April 20-25. We are hopeful that this will take place as planned.
Please see the video below from Miss Sharon with additional information, and please reach out with any questions. We will be in touch again at the end of the week with a class schedule!
