14 Years Dancing at Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music
The first word that comes to mind when I think of Sharon’s Studio of Dance and Music is home. At three years old, I took my first Ballet class, and rec classes following, then advancing to Performing Group. Soon I found myself wanting to enhance my performance skills and refine my technique, which encouraged me to join the Competition Team at the age of eleven. Joining the Competition Team pushed me to grow immensely as a dancer and as a person. On and off the stage I became confident, expressive, and strong.
My first year on the team, I had no idea that this group of girls and teachers would soon become my family. The teachers always go above and beyond for each of their students, and have always been there for me, supporting me in everything I do. My teammates and I have been dancing together countless hours a week, pushing each other to become the best versions of ourselves in and out of the classroom. The memories I have created with these girls will last forever and I am so grateful for every single one of them.
I will be attending The University of Alabama with a double major in Education and Psychology. As I move forward to the next stage of my life, I will always cherish my time here at Sharon’s Studio of Dance and Music.
Good luck at Alabama, Lauren!
